About

The reason I named this blog The Same Footsteps is because it is my key to learning. Those who have learned things and really retained them are those who have found a way to use them, to do something with what they have learned.

It’s also my key to teaching. Those who teach in a way that will really stick with people are those that take others through the process that the teacher used to learn in the first place, and I can guarantee that it wasn’t just memorization.

Thus, the teacher and the learner are the same. One is just helping the other to walk in the very same footsteps he or she walked before.

On this blog you will find information on:

  • Instructional Design
  • Educational Reform
  • Gamification
  • Educational Games
  • And more!
Posts labeled as discussion are intended to be less formal, while I try to maintain a professional and academic tone for my other posts. I believe that in order to treat these topics seriously, rather than just spouting the first opinion we come upon, we have to at least attempt to bleach our ideas of any potential bias, as well as make sure the arguments we make are backed by science. Otherwise this discussion can never actually move forward. That is the tone I have tried to achieve in this blog, and I hope that you find it uplifting and educational.
